Kimbel and coffee

I went to the Kimbell Art Museum! They have the Impressionists exhibit on loan from the Chicago Art Museum. When It comes to impressionist art i either love it or hate it.

I did really Love “A Woman at her Toilette” by Berthe Morisot

In fact I loved it so much I had to buy a print!

I also saw a Painting I have always wanted to see! Van Gogh’s “Self Portrait”

There was allot of other stuff as well! I was very fascinated by the exhibit.

They had ALLOT of Monet and i found that kind of boring. Jon (my flatmate) felt the same way  about it.  Once when I was younger one of my art teachers told me if you look really close at Monet paintings you can see bugs in the paint. he painted outside. so of course Jon and I took advantage of the chance to look very close at his work.

And you know what… I saw it in several of the paintings… i think we made the museum guard nervous though because we were getting so close to the art.  When I told him what I was looking for I saw that he started looking a little closer at them too.

They had a Renoir Painting I like allot too

I really liked this one too! I kind of wise i bought  a Print of this one too… she reminds me of when i was a kid and my grandmother trying to teach me to sew… I was never good at it and often had that look of pain in my face…

After the Museum we went to a coffee shop

We went to do this all with a Couch Surfer. His name was James.

i am gonna go to more coffee shops too… I am doing reserching them for my book i am working on the outline for. It is going to be for NaNoWriMo…

If anyone knows any cool coffee shops in the Arlington area let me know… If it is 24 hours even better…

I’m Joining in on NaNoWriMo this year!

What is NaNoWriMo?

National Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.

Valuing enthusiasm and perseverance over painstaking craft, NaNoWriMo is a novel-writing program for everyone who has thought fleetingly about writing a novel but has been scared away by the time and effort involved.
